Introduction

Pranali Rathod (born 15 October 1999) is an Indian actress who primarily works in Hindi television. Rathod is best known for her portrayal of Saudamini Bhaumik Greenwood in Barrister Babu , Radha Sahani in Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye and Akshara Goenka in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

Early life

Pranali Rathod was born to a Marathi family in Maharashtra on 15th October 1999 A.D. as the youngest child of the family. Her father is a retired Mathematics Professor. Along with her elder sibling Ruchi Rathod and her parents namely Suresh Rathod and Sheela Rathod, Pranali grew up and completed her college in Mumbai.

Career

Rathod made her acting debut in 2018 with Pyaar Pehli Baar. She portrayed Saanvi in the show's first episode. In 2019, she portrayed Suman Pandey in Jaat Na Poocho Prem Ki opposite Kinshuk Vaidya. It marked her fiction debut.

She then portrayed Saudamini Bhaumik Greenwood in Barrister Babu in 2020, opposite Pravisht Mishra and Jason Shah.

In 2021, she portrayed Radha Sahani in Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye opposite Yash Tonk. In the same year, she made her web debut with Chutzpah, where she portrayed Richa.

From 2021 to 2023, Rathod portrayed Akshara Goenka in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai opposite Harshad Chopda. The show proved as a major turning point in her career.She received the ITA Award for Best Actress Popular for her performance and was critically acclaimed. Pranali as Akshara turned out to be a household name from 2021-2023 bringing her many awards and recognitions.

In 2022, Rathod reprised Akshara Goenka in the musical game show Ravivaar With Star Parivaar. Her team (Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai family) emerged as the winner of the show.

Pranali Rathod is one of the youngest yet prominent actress in the television industry. She is also listed in the Eastern Eye annual list of 30 UNDER 30 twice in the year 2022 and 2023.

Moreover, Rathod was ranked 30 on the annual publication of TOP 50 Asian Stars of 2023 by Eastern Eye.
